Hi,
My name is ______________.
I experienced that the ad campaign, "Tak voní jaro," is still available on the YouTube channel of Czech Hornbach.
The ad perpetuates the racist and sexist misconception that Asian women would be a sex object for white men. The ad is already taken down from German and Rumanian YouTube channel, and now it's your turn.
Asian citizens and immigrants in Europe are upset about the fact that Hornbach Czech fails to recognize the problem of this ad. By making "jokes" at the cost of Asian women and by depicting them in a humiliating way, the ad creates a cultural soil for anti-Asian racism and sexism in your country.
According to the statistics from the year 2017, South Korea and China are very important countries for the Czech Republic's tourism industry. (https://www.praguecitytourism.cz/file/edee/en/annual-reports/a4-vyrocni-zprava-2018_2-verze_en_web.pdf) Through public news channels, we became aware that Hornbach still shows the ad in the Czech Republic, even after the ad was stopped in Germany and Rumania.
I'm already recommending people in Korea, China, and Japan to reschedule their holidays in Europe and to avoid visiting the Czech Republic, so that they can safely travel from racist and sexist attacks stimulated by the problematic ad campaign.
We don't need your explanation of your intention but a sincere action. Show us that you take our concern seriously by letting the ad removed from the Czech YouTube channel.
I'm expecting a written and personalized response from you.
